TabVault ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the TabVault Chrome Extension.

1. Data Collection

TabVault does not collect or transmit any personal data to any external servers.

The only information used by the extension is:

• Your GitHub Personal Access Token (PAT): used locally only to access your own Gist for session storage.
• Session data (tab URLs, titles): stored either locally on your browser or encrypted and uploaded to your GitHub Gist, if you enable sync.

We do not have access to your token or session data. Everything is processed and stored on your device or your own GitHub account.

2. Data Usage

• Your session data is used solely for saving and restoring your browser tabs.
• When GitHub Sync is enabled, your data is AES-256 encrypted before being uploaded to your GitHub Gist.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any user data.

4. Data Security

We apply industry-standard AES-256 encryption for all cloud-synced data. All processing happens on your local device.

5. Third-Party Services

The extension uses the GitHub API only for accessing your own Gist with the token you provide.

6. Your Control

• You may choose not to enable sync, and use the extension fully in local mode.
• You can delete your saved sessions or revoke your GitHub token at any time.
